Birendra Pani

Birendra Pani’s artistic journey has been influenced by a broad range of art practices and diverse cultural experiences of the places in which he has lived and travelled as well as the rich miniature art traditions and folk performances of his native Orissa. He uses his pictorial space with strong expressive lines of freestyle drawing that verges on natural realism, loud, vivid images in colours like green and shocking pink and often laced with pop art – often depicting hybrid humans, fascinating creatures, nudes and yogic stances.
